About Jacob

My name is Jacob and I've been an elementary teacher for 5 years and teaching at CICS West Belden for the past 2 years. I specialize in early education and am adept in all subjects. I'll make individual lesson plans that cater to your child's strengths while focusing on areas they need more practice with. I like to bring the student's interests into lessons to make learning fun. It's my goal for my students to understand and use their strengths to learn new things. I hope to find the way that works for them whether it be conventional or creative. I'd describe myself as passionate, adaptable and engaging. I like tutoring because I needed a reading tutor when I was younger and was motivated when my interests and style of learning were at the forefront of each lesson. Because of my own experience, I know the impact a tutor can have for students and their path to success. In my spare time I like to try new restaurants, play sports and play board games with friends & family.
