After many years in the legal field, I recently switch careers and am a now a secondary math teacher for APS. I have been a tutor for over 10 years and I realize many students dislike Math, which makes me sad lol I have found that this dislike comes from not being taught in a way that benefits them. One big obstacle that I come across a lot has been not lining up their work correctly. I have had the opportunity to help a wide range of students from elementary to college level. Outside of math I got my undergrad in English. I have helped younger students strengthen their reading and writing skills, helped college students with their essays and understanding of college algebra and pre-calculus, as well as everything in between.
