About Jackie

Words will never be able to properly convey the tremendous support Jackie was for our family. Jackie cared for my father who had Parkinson's and Lewy Body Dementia. He needed to be fed through a G-tube and was on a strict medication schedule. Jackie was able to manage all of his medical needs and she assisted in all of his daily needs. Jackie was sensitive to the fact that my mother (wife of 54 years to my father) had a hard time adjusting to not being his sole caretaker anymore. My father was ultimately placed on hospice and Jackie was there for dad (and us) in his final hours. She provided him with the necessary comfort medication as his family said goodbye. Jackie was present when dad passed away and treated his body with respect and dignity, ultimately cleaning him up, shaving him and changing him into his favorite pajamas before he was taken away. We asked Jackie to stay and be a companion to my mother as she grieved the loss of father and recovered from a hip injury. Jackie became a part of our family and showed mom that there is life after death. I cannot recommend her enough. In the future, if my mother's health deteriorates to needing 24 hour care, we will no hesitate to invite Jackie back to care for her.
