About Ivana

Hi, I'm Ivana! I'm a senior at the University of Florida and I am studying Communication Sciences & Disorders and hope to become a speech language pathologist in the future. I have experience volunteering at Baby Gator on the UF campus working with children ages 0-4. I've also gained shadowing experience with children ages 4-10 at Fundamental Therapy Solutions. I was born and raised in Puerto Rico for the first half of my childhood and consider myself a native speaker of Spanish. Although I am a native speaker, I am also majoring in Spanish to brush up on my skills and to learn more about other Latino cultures. My special interests within the Communication Sciences & Disorders and Spanish language fields include bilingualism and second language acquisition. As a speaker of Spanish, I can provide any services in Spanish and use what I've learned in my classes about speech and language to tailor the perfect childcare experience for any family.
