For two years I worked as an Instructional Aide for a nonprofit school that provided daily care for kids and adults on the spectrum. I would complete work sessions with them and provide them with a positive reinforcer after. I would take them to the bathroom if necessary and help wipe/wash hands if they were not Independent in the bathroom. I found this job to be very rewarding and a positive experience in my daily life and I look forward to hopefully continuing to make an impact in the autism community.
