I have been working in elder care for 7 years now. 2 years of experience volunteering at hospice and 5 years of experience with in-home elderly care. I have worked with Alzheimer's/ dementia, diabetes, paraplegia, bedridden patients, and companionship. Along with 8 years experience in nannying, but I have been a natural caregiver my whole life. I have been CPR certified and am American Caregiver Association certified. I am majoring in nursing while also obtaining a CNA certification. I take pride in learning about caregiving and gerontology in my free time. I have done both overnight care and daytime care. Caring for patients with Alzheimer's and Dementia has granted me the understanding of how the mind works at this age. I enjoy a good game of chess, movies, and driving cross country. I would hope to bring these to the table when caring for you or your loved one(s). I am a caregiver because I think one of the greatest aspects of life is helping others.

My husband and I are so lucky to have found Isabela. She is an excellent care companion to my grandmother who has dementia. She helps to give her meals and medication, and ensures that she safely ambulates to a bedside commode. Isabela is also great with our dogs, who we know can be a bit of a handful! I love that she sends us pictures to update us during her shifts. She can follow several, detailed instructions seamlessly. I highly recommend her!
