I bring over 10 years of experience in childcare and early childhood education, including roles as a pre-K teacher and K-1 assistant teacher at Five Acre School, a long-term in-home nanny for children ages 6 months to 6 years, and a babysitter for children ranging from infants to teenagers. My approach is grounded in a whole-child philosophy, centering each child's social, emotional, and physical well-being while allowing their curiosity and interests to guide our time together. One of my favorite parts of teaching was leading our class's weekly hikes, and I'm passionate about helping children build meaningful connections with the outdoors. I am CPR and First Aid certified, have a reliable vehicle, and am comfortable with pets. I'm also happy to assist with light housework and meal preparation. There are no words to express how wonderful Irie is. If she wasn't moving to the east coast we would have her care for our children forever! They have learned so much and experienced so much in her care. We have never had to worry if they were safe even when she takes them out and about. She is mindful of what they eat, that they are spending time outdoors and that they are learning through play. It blows my mind the knowledge bombs our kids drop on us after spending the day with her. We love her and know you will too.
