I have been a Certified Nursing Assistant since 2007. I started my career working for different Healthcare agencies and then went to work at Tampa General Hospital. I performed a range of many different things ( patient care for the elderly, Cancer and Chemo patients, Cardiac and pediatrics) for 11 years. I also during this time worked with hospice, many times helping with end of life care of my patients and families from TGH. I am proficient in bathing, changing and dressing my patients. I am able to prepare meals and do light house keeping. I have a bachelors degree in Human services and have worked in the business field. I have also worked for my clients in the personal assistant role, taking the burden off the family by helping make and keeping schedule all appointments. I love all animals with 4 legs and have a few myself. I am certified in CPR and first aid.

Ilisa is caring, knowledgeable, creative, and self-motivated. In caring for our father with dementia, she experimented with a variety of approaches to encourage hygiene; not all were effective, but she even used dancing and singing to accomplish a shower (our father's most despised activity). In addition to following the provided daily routine, she went above and beyond recommended activities. For example, she checked the circulation in his feet twice a day rather than once. When she noticed something needed cleaning, she cleaned it even if it wasn't on the list of routine housework. (She even tackled disgusting jobs like scrubbing out the kitchen trash can.) She also identified possible factors affecting sleep, allowing us to make some modifications in his medication schedule we would not have tried without her input.
