About Iliana

Helping children feel confident and supported and excited to learn is that the heart of my approach. I've experienced working with children of different ages as a preschool teacher, substitute teacher, and Site Director for an afterschool program serving elementary students. The roles have given me experience supporting students academically while also helping them build confidence, independence, and positive learning habits. I understand that every child learns to differntly so I focus on being patient, encouraging, and adapting my approach to each student's individual needs. Whether we're working on math, English homework or simply strengthening a skill, they may be struggling with, I break things down into manageable steps and make learning feels less overwhelming. I hold a college degree and I'm happy to work with students and their own home at a library or online. My goal is to help every student feel proud of the progress.
