About Ileana

Hi! I am a patient and compassionate person with about 4 years of experience caring for children. I have worked one-on-one with kids as a full-time nanny and with over 20 kids in a daycare setting and day-camp setting. I recently graduated from k college with a BA in psychology and studio art, and I now work as a teaching artist as well as a Behavior Technician. I wish to be an art therapist for kids one day, so babysitting is closely related to my passion! I like to encourage the kids I spend time with to work creatively and expand their imaginations with projects, reading, play, and time in nature. My style of discipline coincides with gentle parenting, and I often focus on helping the child regulate their emotions when conflict arises. Kids have big feelings, and they need a sitter who validates them. I also have experience with watching neurodivergent children who may need extra or more unique support.
