About Idania

My journey into senior care began six years ago in a nursing and rehabilitation center. I discovered a true passion for working with Alzheimer's and dementia patients. I find that while the elderly may need a little assistance, the wisdom and character they possess is a gift. As a Certified Nursing Assistant with some college education, I provide hospice services, home health, personal care, dementia care, and medical management. I am patient, calm, compassionate, and friendly. I am skilled in de-escalating stressful situations and handling confusion or behavioral changes. I incorporate memory care activities into care. I respect a care recipient's independence and dignity. I show empathy and compassion, getting to know their history. I communicate with families through verbal updates, text, or phone calls, always following their preferred method. I am comfortable with pets. I am also fluent in Spanish.
