I have cared for an elderly couple within the past 5 years. It was a beautiful experience to be able to assist this loving couple and provide them with comfort and care in their everyday activities. I learned how to cater to their personal needs and help them through times of discomfort and distress when dealing with anxiety, dementia, insomnia, sundowners, depression, etc. The husband passed away so I have worked alongside hospice and dealt with comforting the spouse that remained. She is bed ridden and requires 24 hour care. I am able to feed, bathe, change diapers, treat wounds, manage medication, and accompany her. I feel honored to be able to help those in need and give back to our communities.
