About Hope

Hi, I'm Hope! I'm a college graduate with a B. S. in Biotechnology and experience teaching, tutoring, and supporting students from preschool through high school. I especially enjoy working with elementary students and helping them build confidence in reading, writing, math, homework completion, and study habits. I've supported elementary students with math and classroom work, worked in early childhood and aftercare settings, and most recently taught 7th-9th grade math and science, including Algebra 1, middle school science, and biology. I've also supported students with individualized learning needs. My tutoring style is patient, encouraging, and organized. I like to break concepts into clear steps, use visuals or guided notes when helpful, and meet students where they are. My goal is to help each child feel capable, supported, and less overwhelmed.
