About Honour

Empowering students to reach their full potential drives my approach to education. I remember how I felt growing up when grades in certain subjects took a toll on me and I don't want a child/tween with a developing brain to feel bad about themselves or school when the work can be fun and easy. With three years of experience, I specialize in Math, Test Preparation, Art, Business (I have a degree in finance as well), and Study Skills for elementary and middle school students. I believe in fostering critical thinking by breaking complex problems into manageable steps and connecting concepts to real life and relatable situations that you can grasp. By listening and observing how you interact with new material, I tailor my teaching strategies to fit your learning style. I am empathetic and want to understand your current state/situation in school so I can create a supportive, and patient environment where you feel confident to grow.
