About Hillary

For the past eight years, I've been helping students unlock their potential and achieve academic success. With a graduate degree and as a certified teacher, I bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to every session. My teaching philosophy centers on creating an engaging, supportive, and patient learning environment where confidence blossoms and a love for learning takes root. I tailor my approach to each student's unique learning style, using visual aids, hands-on activities, and discussions to make learning stick. Regular check-ins with parents ensure everyone is on the same page. I specialize in English and test preparation for students of all ages, from elementary school through college. I am familiar with Individualized Education Programs (IEP) and student accommodation plans (504). Witnessing a student's "aha!" moment is the most rewarding part of my work. I have a car and am willing to tutor at various locations. CPR training and First Aid.
