About Helen

Helen (“Ms. Helen” or “Zaza” to our 2 year old) joined our family in March 2024 to care for our 2 and 6 year old boys. She took on the job knowing that she would only be with us through the summer. Despite her role being “short term”, she dove right in and quickly became part of the family – so much so that when we moved out of state, she offered to join us in our new home for three weeks to help us get settled in to our new place. Helen’s commitment, dedication, and agility were incredibly appreciated – we do not know how we would have been able to make our complex move work without her! Helen always came to our home on time (or early!), cheerful, and ready to engage hands-on with our kids, especially our youngest who was not in school or attending any classes/programs. Given her teaching background, she was great at weaving in developmental activities into their daily trips to the playground/indoor gyms and playtime at home. When we moved and she was responsible for both kids, full time in a new city, she quickly took it upon herself to discover new places to take them and keep them engaged while we focused on unpacking/ returning to work. Helen is very fun and dynamic, but also knows how to be firm, redirect and set limits for both our boys. As parents, we also really appreciated how natural and easy it was to communicate with her about everything and anything. We loved seeing how affectionate she was with our kids, and we know that in particular our youngest will miss her terribly since he spent the most time with her and truly loves her.
