About Helen

My name is Helen, I am 21 years old and I a pre-med student studying biology at VCU. I will be living with family in Northern VA from June-August and looking for part time or full time work. I have experience working as a Patient Care Tech with patients of all ages but mainly focus on senior care on a neurology unit in a hospital. My experience includes the following: vital signs, blood sugar checks, hygiene care, feeding, catheter care, tube feeding, mobility, preventing falls/suicidal ideation and providing companionship. I care for patients with dementia, high blood pressure, diabetes, traumatic brain injuries (TBI), cancer, chronic illness, and on hospice care or experience strokes, brain surgery, and much more. I am BLS/CPR/AED certified. I also speak Amharic! I am responsible, reliable, trustworthy, and loving. I am comfortable with pets, meal prepping, errands, transportation and light house cleaning. I am ready to support and care your loved ones!
