About Hela

Hello, my name is Helagenet but I go by Hela! Over the years the Ethiopian and Eritrean-American community I have been able to help foster growth in children academically and creatively. A Boston native, I work as a marketing professional in financial district and outside of work I am studying for the LSAT's for law school. I'd describe my personality as intentional, compassionate, and curious I like working with kids because I believe in adulthood the best way to evolve and have a positive social impact is to learn from children and help foster their development through literacy and the arts. My family and I have been long advocates of global literacy amongst children. In my spare time, I like to volunteer as a Big Sister for Big Brothers & Big Sisters of America. Alongside, studying for law school, creatively writing and watercolor/mixed media projects + outings with friends and family. My skills include adaptability, communication, patience.
