In my 18 years of experience working with individuals diagnosed with severe mental and/or developmental disabilities, I have had the honor and privilege of being a part of many extraordinary people's lives. While addressing presenting problems and tending to immediate needs, I strongly believe in delving beyond a diagnosis, (or multiple diagnoses), and learning about the real human being inside. Building rapport and trust is paramount and I know that this takes time. I am extremely patient and calm, and have an easy-going nature. I can also be a goofball and truly believe in the healing properties of laughter.
