About Heidi

Hello! My name is Heidi, and I am a 21-year-old student at UMBC majoring in English. I have over two years of experience working at an in-home daycare, where I have cared for children ranging from infants to 6 years old. Through this experience, I have developed strong skills in maintaining routines, creating engaging activities, and supporting children's developmental needs. I have also completed coursework in child development and have completed an Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED course through the American Red Cross, which has prepared me to recognize and respond to a variety of breathing and cardiac emergencies involving adults, children, and infants. I am very hands-on and love getting involved in play rather than simply supervising. Some of my favorite activities to do with children include playing outside, pretend play, arts and crafts, and seasonal activities that encourage creativity and exploration.
