About Heidi

Hi! My name is Heidi and I'm a UC-D student studying neurobiology, physiology, and behavior with minors in Education and Spanish. I have hands-on experience working with children and adolescence through my role as a teaching, intern at local junior high schools, where I support classroom learning, work one on one with students, and create a positive and structured environment. In addition to my classroom experience, I've spent several years tutoring, elementary and middle school students and subjects like math and science. Families can count on me to be responsible, patient, and attentive. My background and education and healthcare volunteering her strengthen my ability to stay, calm, organized, and compassionate in any situation. I generally enjoy working with children and aim to create a safe, supportive, and engaging environment, where they feel valued and encouraged to grow. I'd describe my personality as kind, patient, and fun!
