About Heather

Hi! I'm a passionate and experienced educator with a strong background in supporting student learning and confidence. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Literacy Studies, as well as a Master's degree in Teaching and Learning. I specialize in tutoring K-12 English and K-5 Math, and I especially love working with developing readers. I taught 1st and 2nd grade for four years, where I built a strong foundation in early literacy, phonics, comprehension, and helping students grow into confident readers. My approach is patient, supportive, and tailored to each child's needs. I strive to make learning engaging and approachable while building both skills and self-confidence. Whether your child needs help catching up, staying on track, or getting ahead, I'm here to support them every step of the way. I look forward to helping your child succeed!
