About Heather

Babysitting was my first job-I watched my little sister starting at 10 years old, putting her to bed and entertaining her. Then I watched family friends and kids at church. When I went to college and then to grad school, I loved being able to take a break from my studies to just hang out with kids as a part time job! It kept me (and their parents) sane-a win-win! I've always loved trying to engage kids with games and crafts. I love to read to kids, no matter how young, just sounding out words and naming and pointing out the wonders of the world. I'm currently still a graduate philosophy student in the last stages of my degree, just writing my dissertation. So, my schedule is pretty flexible, making it still pretty easy to take those breaks with kiddos. My personal hobbies, besides philosophy, include reading, basketball, piano, drawing, and sewing, among other things. And I just love being outside in the sunshine with just about any silly pass time!
