My name is Heather and I'm a 27-year-old college graduate who lives in Yaphank looking for a full time (approximately 40+ hours a week) live-out nanny position ASAP. I've been nannying for children birth to pre-teen on and off for almost 10 years now. I also worked with nursery children at a summer camp and in a preschool with the not-for-profit Jumpstart. I previously commuted as far as East Northport so I don't mind a commute. I've been with my current family who have a 20-month-old and a 4-year-old for just over a year now. Unfortunately due to personal situations changing, we have to part ways much sooner than any of us would like. I'm a very hands on nanny and I love figuring out children's personalities as well as working with the parents as a team to brainstorm the best ways to handle every new milestone. I love play based learning and finding fun and educational crafts, activities, and books for any theme you can think of.

MAGICAL NANNY AVAILABLE! Heather worked with us for 2 years in caring for my daughter (3-4yo) and son (9mo-2yo). She is loving, trustworthy, and quickly became part of the family. When meeting Heather, she joked, saying she is a "Mary Poppins" of sorts, and nothing could ring truer! She cooked meals and prepared school lunches from scratch for the kids, brushed their teeth, got them dressed and did their hair, read books while exposing them to interesting topics, created and abides by a nap and bath schedule, allowed for structured and free play time, minimized screen time, drove the kids to daily classes and orchestrated virtual play dates, created monthly themed lesson plans (she's a trained teacher), handled virtual school and homework, left our home orderly and clean. Heather is fantastic with helping the kids work through tantrums and their emotions, using logic and allowing for autonomy. She is smart, educated, worldly, organized, flexible, dependable, an independent multitask-er.
