Experience: 10 yrs
My name is Leah, and I'm 25 years old. I work as an assistant teacher at a daycare/preschool full time and I absolutely love what I do and cannot see myself doing anything else aside from a job involving helping/teaching kids. As far as other experience in the ECE field besides what I do now as a teachers assistant working in a classroom setting, I worked as a private nanny (working with infants and toddlers all the way up to age 14). I am currently attending Bryant and Stratton College for Early Childhood Education. As a nanny I provide comprehensive childcare, supporting developmental milestones and maintaining detailed daily activity logs in a safe, nurturing environment. I also managed children's schedules, coordinated educational activities, and implemented age-appropriate learning programs while ensuring safety protocols. I also implemented and developed engaging educational activities, enhanced social skills, and maintained consistent communication with parents.
Leah has been nothing but wonderful with our boys! They are 3 1/2 and 5 1/2 so you can only imagine how wild and crazy they are together. She is very patient and kind with them and not only does she play with them, but she also has found cute activities for them to do depending on what holiday is near whether it’s printing out coloring pages, finding crafts for them or even bringing over holiday cookies to bake with them the kids love it! She also sits down and helps them practice their alphabet and numbers. Her having teacher experience in preschool setting was very appealing as she has a professional mannerism to the way she does things plus is also educated with children and has seen it all. We love all the experience she has with kids you can tell she knows what she’s doing. She respects our wishes of little to no screen time which means a lot more hands-on interaction with the kids, but you could tell she really has a passion for caring for children. Seeing them running around laughing while playing a silly game or just them concentrating while doing a project/ learning, or reading a bunch of books before bedtime it’s very relieving knowing that our children are in great hands! She makes teeth brushing fun and even something as simple as getting my oldest to blow his nose before bed (which he fights us so much with) she’s able to get it done. She also helps around the house when needed whether it’s folding laundry, washing dishes, or meal prepping food for the kids we very much appreciate all that she does for our family.
