About Heather

I have 4 years of experience working with kids, mostly with autism, in educational and therapy settings where I worked 1-on-1 or with a small group of children during the school day. My responsibilities included implementing IEP accommodations and therapy plans, as well as providing basic care and fun! I am also CPR and First Aid certified. I'd describe my personality as compassionate, fun, and careful. I like working with kids because no two days are the same. I love to encourage a child to grow, explore, and learn in a fun and safe environment. I started working with kids as a special education assistant, which I did for one school year, before becoming a Registered Behavior Technician and providing behavior therapy to children with autism for the last 3 years. In my spare time, I like to read, spend time with my dog, and listen to music.
