I have cared for a family with two young children multiple times as needed, from 2009 to August 2010. When I cared for them, I stayed at their home. I would get them up in the morning and ready for the day. I would make breakfast and clean up. I would also do the children's laundry. Our activities during the day varied. The park and beach with a picnic lunch was very popular, as were reading stories, gardening, and coloring or other art projects. Children learn patience and listening skills when read to. Alphabet and counting books get kids ready for preschool or supplement what is learned. Age-appropriate board games teach rules and taking turns. Anything their parents request, we do. I enjoy being a nanny because in our current social environment, many women have the desire or need to pursue careers. My desire is to provide for that family in an atmosphere that duplicates their being at home. I want to give parents peace of mind knowing that when they leave their child will be safe.

Heather was our daughter’s first nanny (she was 4 months old). We were lucky to work with her. She is caring, reliable and enthusiastic, always on time. Our daughter was happy to see her and we could tell she enjoyed her days with her. We highly recommend Heather.

Heather was our nanny for 6 months (my 2.5 and 5.5 year old) and was the sparkling gem that I didn’t know we needed in our lives. We started coming home to the dishwasher fairy who helped put away our dishes! She is magical. Always on time to pick up the kids from school, wonderful supervising at the playground, and my kids adore her. They started school or we would have continued having Heather as our nanny, but any family to hire her is truly lucky.

Heather (goes by Hazy) is an absolute gem, and any family would be incredibly lucky to have her as a nanny!

Hazy worked with our family for 9 months, taking care of our daughter from age 4 months to just over a year. We would have let Hazy take care of our daughter till school-age, but moved away from the city. As a sign of Hazy's dedication to the job, she commuted to our new home for 5 months as we transitioned.

Hazy has a very sweet and caring nature, is upbeat and fun, and very dedicated to her profession. She understands that nannying is not just a job, but a partnership with a family. She provides a bunch of suggestions based on her 10+ years experience, but is also very open to adapting to a family's unique needs and quirks - all as part of easy, ongoing conversation. We simply knew our daughter would be well cared for. And most importantly, our daughter absolutely adored her and trusted her - and still does!

We hired Hazy partly based on her long list of impeccable recommendations, and we are honored to add on to that list. Hazy is a fantastic nanny.



We were extremely lucky to have Heather (Hazy) in our lives for just under three years.  Our two boys, ages three and two, absolutely adore her.

Hazy loved our boys like they were her own.  She gave tons of love and support for them.  Our kids were always happy to see her in the morning and sad to see her go in the afternoons.  She always provided our boys with tons of fun activities that kept the physically and mentally engaged.

Hazy is extremely dependable and taking care of children is her passion.  She truly became a member of our family and we already miss her.  I'm positive that she'll show your children the same unconditional love she showed ours.

Heather took care of my son, going to the park and lots of classes/activities. She prepared meals, did laundry, and cleaned up around the house. She is very reliable and kind.

I exchanged a few messages with Heather through Care.com and spent some time talking with her on the phone regarding caring for my infant and toddler. She was very personable, had references from previous nanny positions, and great experience to offer. I looked forward to meeting her in person, but ultimately we decided we lived farther away from each other than would be ideal for a full time position. I wish her luck in finding a great family to work with!


I really can't say enough great things about Heather. Our family feels very fortunate to have met such a warm, loving person who has looked after our son as though he were her own. We hired Heather in September of 2013 and she worked for us two days a week until May of 2014. Our son instantly became very attached to her, asking for her on a daily basis and running to greet her with hugs and kisses every time she arrived. He was 20 months at the time she started working for us and he was and is a VERY energetic little boy. Hazy (Heather) not only kept up with him, but helped to harness some of his energy - taught him manners (please, thank you, excuse me), patience, colors, letters, sharing, discipline - more than I as a first time mother taught him. She read to him constantly, paid close attention to him and his needs, took him on outings (story time at the library, splash pad at the mall, play dates with other children) in her own car, and always respected our family's needs and requests. Hazy was punctual and would stay late at a moment   s notice when needed. Her flexibility even translated into some evening babysitting and a few overnights (one at our home and one at hers). My husband and I have complete trust in her and have even recommended her to our siblings as a potential caregiver to our upcoming niece, we would love to keep her in our family!

We hired Heather in March of 2013 and she is a fantastic addition to our family.  She is always early on her scheduled days, and is wonderful with my 19 month old son.  Heather is very patient, playful, and extremely kind.  My son has some health challenges and she has been very open to learning about his allergies and keeping him on his daily schedule.  She is always open in listening to how I 'd like to raise our son and listens to the rules we try to instill.  I can't say enough about how great Heather is as a nanny and person.  She would be a wonderful addition to any family. We feel very lucky to have found her.

My husband and I were fortunate to meet Heather and she is our back up nanny when we need help with our two and a half year old and 7 month old baby.  She was very warm and outgoing.  My boys warmed up to her right away.  Along with being a caring person, Heather was professional and immediately helped out where she could from the start.  I look forward to continuing our friendship in the future when we need that extra hand.

This letter of recommendation is being provided for Heather J.  My husband's former job required frequent travel, and therefore starting at the beginning of 2009 I had requested Heather to come and stay at our home on occasions while he was traveling (I work full time).  She cared for my two children, who were 2 and 4 at the time, as well as assisted with light household chores.  I found Heather to be an exceptional nanny to our children.  I found Heather to be a very warm, loving person and also very professional and hardworking.  I knew that I could leave my children with her and not think about it when I was at work. My children love Heather and we still keep in touch with her. She is an energetic, positive person whom my kids immediately gravitated toward.  She would assist my 4-year old son with his preschool homework, engage them in constructive play, read them stories, or help them do art projects or baking projects.  Additionally, she was very conscience about adhering to the house rules that we had established for our family. My husband and I both hold her in the highest regard. Choosing someone to care for your children is a very important decision and not one to be made lightly. Heather is a wonderful choice. She is absolutely trustworthy, intelligent, experienced and a warm and caring person.

Thank you Heather (Hazy) for being such an amazing addition to our family during my time on bed rest. You have been such a blessing and I thank you for loving and caring for my 18 month old little guy during my time of rest. My husband, J, and myself love how you cared for J during your time in our home. He has learned so much from you. Thank you for teaching him new words and animal sounds. Thank you for being such a nurturing figure during the day to him. He loves reading and coloring more now than ever and his adventures outdoors have been our routine on days you aren't here. Summer time and going to the pool made him so confident in the water and he loves loves loves jumping into the big pool now. :) Thank you for making him (Hazy's bestest grilled cheeses EVER!) for lunches. I couldn't thank you enough for running quick errands for us and being J's sidekick on Gymboree days with his friends. We were so very lucky to have meet you and completely trust you with our son. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts. J thanks you with high fives and big hugs.
