I have been caring for children ages newborn to 13 years old for the last 25+ years. I am a classically trained opera singer, but I have been caring for children as a profession for the last 25 years. I have found that my training as a musician has been incredibly helpful when caring for children on a variety of levels. Many children enjoy playing music and I try to engage them musically when appropriate or relevant. But I also have found that, as in music, approach and timing are critical. I pride myself on being emotionally attuned to the spoken and unspoken needs of children. Some kids like to do art and be active on the playground; some kids like quiet time and reading. I work with every family and child to assess their specific needs and match our activities to the personality of the child. I take great pride in watching them learn, grow, develop, and gain independence.

Leslie currently nannies for our 2.5 month old daughter and our daughter loves her. Leslie has great energy and takes amazing care of our daughter, singing to her and helping us as first time parents with everything from nap time to handling diaper rash and her witching hour. I&#39;d highly recommend Leslie to anyone, and as someone who works from home she&#39;s also great to hang out with. 

Leslie is simply amazing, able to adapt to a child and circumstances. I would give more than 5 stars if the app allowed! Definitely hiring her again, my daughter loved her!

We recently hired Leslie to watch our 2 month old while I went back to work and I immediately felt comfortable leaving my daughter in her care. Leslie is energetic yet very calming and friendly. She sang and talked to my daughter all day - it was clear Penelope had a great week while in her care. She also got her to eat more from the bottle than I could! Bonus points for that!

Leslie recently watched my 10 month old son for the day. She was easy to communicate with prior to meeting and made me feel comfortable leaving my son in her care. She was friendly, full of energy and took great care of my son! 

Leslie has been looking after my son since he was 2 months old, he is now almost 8 months old. She comes in the morning and is very punctual and dependable which is very important when we are rushing off to school and work. She is actually always at least 5 min early which shows how seriously she takes her work. She is very loving with our son and takes very good care of him. She sings and plays with him and he adores her. She has lots of experience with kids all ages so you can rest assured that your children are in good hands. She is very cautious and responsible when looking after our son. In addition Leslie is a good communicator. She will always respond timely to text messages etc and let you know what is going on during the day. I would for sure recommend her should you need help caring for your kids. 

I am very late to be reviewing but Leslie babysat for us over Thanksgiving weekend and was just WONDERFUL! She will always be our babysitter over Thanksgiving weekend and any other time we bring the kids to the city!! She's the best!

Hello!  I really cannot recommend Leslie highly enough.  She is truly gifted with children.  She has been taking care of my fourteen year old son, and my eight year old daughter....for my daughter's whole life.  Both children adores her.  Leslie is kind, consistent, and very loving.  My son no longer needs childcare, but Leslie still cares for my daughter.  And when she is with her, she gives her full attention.  Leslie reads to her, plays with her and talks with her. Leslie has been babysitting my 11 mo. old daughter for the past 8 months.  She is amazing.  She is very professional and always on time.  She has great experience working with children and I always feel completely at ease when my daughter is with her.  I trust her completely and recommend her without reservation.

Leslie worked for my family for one year.  She took care of my two boys (4yrs and 9mos).   She is a wonderful babysitter and both boys adore her. My 4yr old always looks forward to time spent with Leslie as his playtime.    Leslie picked up my 4yr old from school and baby sat in the afternoon for a few hours.  She watched my 9mos old during the day from the time he was a couple months old.  Leslie is entertaining and very attentive to both boys.  Most importantly, Leslie truly understands children and always interacted with my children in a very respectful, engaging and understanding manner.   We truly appreciated that aspect of Leslie given that our 4yr old is a very assertive and bright child that will often push for his own way.  

Leslie is always punctual, an excellent communicator and has always accommodated my requests.   She is also very flexible which was imperative for our family of two working parents and a 4 year old with a full schedule.

Leslie has babysat for my 2-month-old daughter several times now and I trust her completely. She genuinely loves kids and actually plays with my daughter (reading books, singing songs, playing with rattles & other toys, talking to her) as opposed to just sticking her in the swing & watching tv the whole time as other babysitters may be inclined to do with an infant. She is very flexible with her hours
which I appreciate, and she's always shown up on time or else early. I would definitely recommend her to other parents.
