About Hayley

I have experience working with children in a variety of settings including classrooms, daycare centers, outdoor camps, and one-on-one as a tutor. Most recently, I served in the Peace Corps in Ukraine as a Teacher of English as a Foreign Language. I love to help with homework and cater to children's unique learning styles. I've served as a private tutor for subjects ranging from basic study skills to AP classes and SAT/ACT prep. I've also worked as an Outdoor Educator in the Pacific Northwest and as a Nature Specialist for a camp in the Sierra Nevadas. I love leading hands-on and STEAM activities with children. I graduated from University of Washington in 2017 with degrees in Linguistics and Philosophy. As part of my philosophy degree, I participated in a program called "Philosophy for Children." In this course we discussed ways to encourage critical thinking and questioning in school-age students and went to local elementary schools to lead philosophy-based sessions.
