Before the hospital, I worked in a closed Alzheimers unit at Hartsfield Village in Munster. I'm trained in Montessori, which, I've noticed helps in the area of Alzheimers. My passion is for seniors and I do Caregiving on the side. I have recently lost my position with a client from Valporaiso. She had passed on July 1. Barb had Parkinsons with on set dementia. We had 2. 5 years together. We had gotten very close and decided to take a small break after her passing. Hanna cared for my elderly mom (with Parkinson’s Disease and dementia) from Jan 2023 through June 2025. She was patient, compassionate, and always treated my mom with dignity and kindness. With her CNA training, Hanna brought professional skills and experience that made her so much more than a companion who assisted my mom with activities of daily living. She would share thoughtful suggestions when she saw an opportunity to improve care, but always deferred gracefully if we chose a different approach. With my mom’s dementia, Hanna never let hurtful comments upset her. Instead, she listened with empathy and gently reassured her so that my mom felt understood. Hanna was also incredibly dependable and flexible, often rearranging her own schedule to make sure my mom was never left without care. When my mom experienced a medical event near the end of her life, Hanna stayed calm and professional, giving both my mom and me comfort during a very difficult moment. I am so grateful for the care Hanna gave, and I wholeheartedly recommend her to any family.
