Hi! I'm Hannah, a 26-year-old Long Beach local with a true passion for working with kids. I spent 5 years at an aftercare program caring for children ages 3 months to 4 years, and have 2+ years of nanny experience including older kids as well. My favorite ways to engage with children are getting creative with crafts, singing songs, reading stories together, exploring the outdoors, and encouraging them to express themselves in any way they can. In the past, I have assisted families with school and activity pick-ups and drop-offs, always making sure each child felt safe and supported. I'm currently studying Early Childhood Education at Orange Coast College and love applying what I learn to my work. I'm looking for a part-time, weekday position and have flexible hours. Hannah took care of our two girls (6 and 11) for the last school year. She was very caring and engaged with the girls. They often recall things they did with Hannah such as projects and how helpful she was with homework. My tween daughter especially liked how she and Hannah connected. She managed the morning routine of getting kids up and ready for school (and drove one of them to school). She supervised kids' arrival from school and stayed with them past dinner time when parents returned. If it wasn't for the COVID and recent changes to our work environment, we would have continued working with Hannah. Any family would be lucky to have her as a caregiver.
