About Haley

I am a former elementary teacher of 6 years in grades K-2 at a WLWV school. I have a wide range of experience with many disabilities and neurodivergent students, as well as behavioral challenges and emotional regulation skills. Teaching philosophy: My teaching philosophy centers around a growth mindset, positive reinforcement, and a belief that all children are inherently good. I value relationships and develop a strong rapport with the students I teach - most end up looking forward to tutoring as part of their weekly schedule! Experience: I have tutored students K-6 in math, language arts, and writing. I can provide extensive knowledge and material within the Common Core State Standards, in alignment with the exact concepts your student is covering in school. I have significant experience with learning disabilities, behavioral challenges, and a wide-variety of learning styles, which enables me to motivate students and teach in unique ways.
