About Hailey

I graduated from Lynchburg College with a Master's degree in Special Education in 2014. After serving my community as a special education teacher for 8 years and 2 years as a general education teacher. I am now looking to serve my community in a different way. I'm eager to help struggling learners reach their full potential through evidence based practices centered around each student's unique needs, level of understanding and interests. I have had intensive training in Orton Gillingham, an evidence based program focused on teaching students phonics skills and reading fluency. In addition, I've had training on intervention strategies for math as well as comprehension strategies. Each tutoring session is carefully planned to hone in on a student's current level of understanding and to continue to build from there.
