About Colton

Hello, I'm Colton and I'm a senior level math undergrad with a passion for education. I've tutored in paid positions at two different colleges over the course of 4 years and done private tutoring through word of mouth. I'm qualified to teach any math class below graduate school level, with a math subject GPA above 3. 5 while taking 300-400 level classes. I believe in deeply understanding the math rather than simply memorizing facts, since simply memorizing facts can cause more difficulty later on in a class and in future classes. I have helped students that are at the top of their class get more out of the class, and I've helped students at the bottom of the class escape finals season unscathed. My long term plans are to attend graduate school in mathematics working towards a PhD in pure mathematics so that I can do research and eventually teach at the university level.
