I volunteered for two years with an NGO in South America supporting orphaned and displaced children, and I completed two years of college in Pedagogy with a focus on early childhood education. I have experience as an assistant teacher and as a mediator teacher for children with special needs. In the U. S., I've volunteered at a daycare and worked as a nanny with children from 5 months to 12 years old. I love gardening, crafting, painting, and patchwork, and I'm a big outdoor person--so if you're open to it, your child and I will spend lots of time outside exploring and playing. Haddy (as we call her) has been our part-time nanny for 2 years. We have a 2.5 yo boy and a 10 month old girl. The joy she brings to both kids is amazing. She is very interactive with our kids, speaking in both English and Portuguese. She loves to do art/craft projects, go on nature walks and adventures and teach. She's more than a nanny to us, she is part of our family. Haddy is a gem!
