About Gretel

I'd describe my personality as bubbly, patient, fair I like tutoring because I love to teach! I love trying to figure out a way to help a student learn and witnessing the "a-ha!" moment. I'm looking for a job that will allow me to earn a little money during the summer and supplement my income once the school year starts. I started teaching at the age of 12, as a catechist in my church. I volunteered as a tutor in my brother's elementary school when I was 18 and writing at the college level from the age of 18-20. In grad school, I was a teaching assistant. I have also tutored for both Sylvan and Huntington, and I privately for two students. I have been a public school teacher since 2005. In my spare time, I like to be with my family--whether it is playing games at home, enjoying nature, or simply going to an arcade. On my own, though, I love reading, writing, and exercising. My skills include all levels of language arts, math up to pre-algebra, and all levels of social studies.
