I am a Carmel resident who has been teaching in and out of the classroom for over 25 years. I received my B. A. from North Park University in Chicago, IL., in Elementary Education & Psychology. I know firsthand what it is like to experience both the thrill of learning when something comes easy, and the struggle when a task comes with great difficulty. Strong reading skills are the foundational building blocks to almost all other learning. It is my aim to build and fortify reading and spelling skills (in a fun and exciting environment), so your child can feel able, accomplished, and confident as he/she tackles the years ahead in school.

We used Gretchen for reading services for our 9 year old. She was fantastic with him and we saw him improve in greatly within a couple months. She is very creative and enthusiastic. Our son hated reading and he actually enjoyed his sessions with her. I would highly recommend.
