About Alyssa

Hello! My name is Alyssa, and I provide individualized reading, writing, and English language arts support for students in grades K-8. I bring several years of experience as a licensed reading and writing teacher, and current experience as a school librarian in Indianapolis. My true passion is helping students discover the joy of reading- throughout my career, I have helped students of all backgrounds, learning differences, and grade levels build confidence and develop stronger literacy skills. My tutoring sessions are tailored based on needs, and may focus on reading comprehension, homework support, building stamina and confidence, writing/grammar/spelling skills, early reading instruction, research and information literacy, literary analysis, etc. I offer a free, 20 minute online/phone consultation to learn more about your student and hear their goals.
