About Gregory

I provide gift-based math tutoring in the Twin Cities. That means I don't ask for a specific fee. Instead I ask for a payment base on what clients think the sessions are worth, from a place of gratitude. My clients come from a range of backgrounds and typically pay anywhere from $30 to over $100 per hour. I also provide volunteer and pro bono tutoring at local community centers in Uptown. I have a bachelor's degree in math and physics from the University of Notre Dame and a master's degree in math and computer science from the University of Oxford. I have experience working with learning differences including ADHD and dyslexia. In my tutoring I emphasize both authentic motivation/curiosity and expertise in the core math proficiencies of mental arithmetic, foundational algebra, and problem solving. I approach my work with the goal of empowering students to explore while at the same time meeting the expectations of their curriculum and receiving grades they feel proud of.
