I'm passionate about supporting the well-being and independence of adults and seniors. My positive experiences in previous care roles, including time at a Board and Care Facility, inspired me to continue this work. I have experience providing one-on-one care, including for a Parkinson's patient with dementia, requiring lifting, transferring, companionship, feeding, and medication management. I am patient, calm, compassionate, and detail-oriented. I prioritize clear communication with families, providing verbal updates, and following their preferred method. Understanding a care recipient's preferences and history is important to me when building a connection. I am adept at adapting to changing routines, de-escalating stressful situations, and handling confusion or behavioral changes. I have two years of experience, a college degree, and certifications in CPR and First Aid.
