About Grace

We hired Gracie to work with our infant baby. She was great with our child, however, everything else went sideways. In the three months that she worked for us she took a week off for a personal trip and at the end of her employement, gave us one day notice that she couldn't work for at least three weeks. It left us in a tremendous binde to find care for our daughter after we had been more than accomodating for her schedule, her requested time off and to leave early occassionally. Additionally, the employee made payment and pay rate a constant conversation. When we provided a $3/hour raise at her request, she said she didn't consider it a raise, because she had to pay taxes on it. We offered her additional hours and opportunities to work and she declined, making us feel like she wanted us to pay her more, so she could work less. When hired, we asked for very basic light housekeeping. Other than washing the bottles, she really didn't do much else unless we specifically asked her to, when our expectation was she would automatically do very basic tasks without being asked to do them. Again, she was great with our child and we never had concerns for our child's safety, but the business and professionalism side of things did not come close to our expectations. I would not recommend hiring without a contract in place.
