About Micaiah

My background over the last 9 years has primarily involved hands-kn care as a nanny for infant through elementary ages combined with specialized training as a one-on-one support aid in special-needs schools. My own education was through homeschoolinf which shaped the way I approach child learning. I believe that learning should be individualized, interactive and engage the whole brain. My experience working with special needs within a school environment helped me become more adaptable, creative and patient with learning pace and format. I love helping each child I work with find their unique edge and see themselves progress and succeed. Outside of tutoring and care, I am a life-long learner and creative having worked as a seamstress along my childcare work for over 10 years. I love being outside, reading, writing and painting. I hope to use these personal interests to benefit the way I approach teaching - interactive and fun.
