About Katie

Hi, I'm Katie! I'm a former preschool and Young 5s teacher, former childcare center director, and mom of four. I love helping children learn in a way that feels encouraging, engaging, and suited to their individual needs. I'm comfortable working with children from preschool through elementary school and can help with early literacy, reading, writing, spelling, math, homework, study skills, and general academic support. I believe children learn best when they feel confident and supported, so I focus on patience, positive reinforcement, and finding creative ways to make learning fun. I'm happy to work with families who need occasional homework help, ongoing tutoring, or extra support in a particular subject or skill. My goal is not just to help children complete their work, but to help them understand it and feel proud of what they can accomplish!
