About Gia

My name is Gia, and I am a Butler University graduate with a degree in Youth and Community Development from our College of Education and Human Development, and minors in Special Education Mild Intervention, Diverse Learners, and Psychology. I've been providing paid childcare services for 11 years and unpaid services for 14, starting as a mother's helper, then a babysitter and nanny. I've also worked as a camp counselor for 3 consecutive summers, worked as a caregiver in a church nursery, and interned at an early childhood childcare facility. I love thinking of different activities to do with the kid(s) I'm with! I use personal interests and combine them with developmentally appropriate activities to make our play meaningful and intentional. I love being a consistent source of comfort, safety, happiness, and laughter in the kid(s) lives, and I value seeing the impact that I have on those I work with. I value social-emotional learning, building connections, and fostering independence.
