About Gemma

I am 27 years old, and I love taking care of kids! I studied behavior and health at Boston University, where I graduated in May of 2018, and am currently working towards my Masters of Social Work at Seattle University. I have been regularly CPR and first aid certified since I was a teenager, including baby CPR. I have had child care jobs on and off over the last 10 years, caring for children ranging in age from 4 months to 10 years old. For eight summers in a row I was a counselor at a sailing day camp, where we looked after up to 18 children ages 8 to 17 years old for four hours every day. My most recent childcare experience was in 2020, where I cared for a 9-month-old for one family and a 10-month-old for another, both for about six months. I also have experience cleaning houses, and cook regularly in my day to day life with some experience food prepping. I am a fast and willing learner, and I have a strong understanding of how attentive a childcare provider must be.
