Hello! My name is Gearran, and I'm a 3rd year student at UAB double majoring in English Literature and Writing and Media. I've always had a strong inclination towards teaching others, and I started tutoring as early as my middle school years, as requested by my teachers. Since arriving at UAB, I've worked multiple education oriented summer camps, including the Birmingham Zoo, and also spent an entire year doing after-school care with the YMCA. I'm a very quick learner, and I can teach pretty much anything if I have the material to work from. I recently landed a job, starting in fall, at one of our campus libraries as a writing tutor after being recommended for the position by multiple professors, and in the meantime, I'd love to get some extra experience as a personal tutor.
