About Florence

My name is Florence, and I am a 21-year-old college senior and Alexandria native. As the youngest sibling in a big family, I understand the value of a caretaker who is both energetic and empathetic, creative and conscientious - and I seek to provide that for the families I work with; I have over 8 years' experience in childcare and youth supervision, including as a personal nanny, a camp counselor, a volunteer tutor, and an infant caretaker in a psychological child development lab. I love kids of all ages and am passionate about fostering an environment wherein children feel both safe and engaged. Some of my favorite activities (both babysitting-wise and on a personal level) are arts and crafts, baking, board games, and reading.
