About Fiona

I have experience with children from 1. 5 to 16 years old in the U. S. and Portugal, including as a live-in nanny in New York City. I attended a Montessori school as a child, was homeschooled in middle and high school to focus on the violin, and later studied at an arts boarding school. My experiences in various educational styles shape the way I view learning and how I work with children. I aim to set an example with children I work with that learning is exciting and continuous. In addition to my nanny experience, I have worked as an elementary math tutor, a violin teacher, and a youth orchestra mentor. I earned my bachelor's degree in economics in Germany and speak German at a B1 level. I enjoy baking and cooking and am happy to prepare snacks and occasional meals for the children, and to bake and cook together with the children.
