About Filiz

I have spent the past 10 years working full time as a caregiver to adults with dementia/part time as an after school sitter. Since the summer of 2022 I have also become a full time summer nanny. I fully understand the difference between being a sitter and a career nanny. First and foremost, I strive to provide a safe and caring environment for everyone under my watch. It truly brings me joy when the charges I work with ask me what I do for a living because we have such fun together that it doesn't seem like a job to them or to me. Both positions require companionship, activity planning, and keeping on top of busy schedules. My time working as a live in elder caregiver meant pitching in with laundry, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and running errands which are tasks I have also helped out with with my childcare families, especially when we travel abroad and I am responsible for the upkeep of our lodgings.
