I have been working as direct care aide for dementia patients for the last 3 years. It is something that I really enjoy doing. I have my CNA license in SC and plan on getting my FL CNA license soon. I feel that working with dementia patients and the elderly in general is such a rewarding career. I also have my med-tech certification here in FL. I am used to working with challenging residents in the memory care facility that I currently work in. I have a lot of patience and always treat other people the way that I would want to be treated if I were in their shoes. I love talking to the elderly and trying to get them doing more than just watching television and sleeping.
